The UMD Model 264-K Series Keycap Custom Keyboards are part of the Unique Micro Design ProtoLink Architecture family of products. The 128 keys are arranged in an 8 x 16 matrix. Each of the keys may be individually programmed with multiple keystroke sequences. This ensures total flexibility for your layout and means it can be tailored to suit your software exactly. The Model 264-K Series also feature inbuilt keyboard wedge, two serial ports and a "Wand Style" Bar Code decoder. This means all your requirements are integrated into a single package. An optional integrated 1 or 2 track magnetic card reader is also available. The Model 264-K can operate in either keyboard mode or serial mode. In keyboard mode, it becomes an IBM compatible PC/XT/AT or PS/2 keyboard and may be used in conjunction with the existing keyboard. In serial mode, data is sent via a serial port.
